SMS has been a leader in conversion research and energy savings programs for electric utilities in Hawaii. SMS has worked with the electric utilities not only to initiate and optimize the success of their conversion programs, but also to undertake evaluation measurement to quantify program progress.

SMS has also extensively worked with telephone and cable organizations. SMS provided customer satisfaction measurements, needs assessment, and employee satisfaction studies.
